Well, what the subject says. I had 27 months to go, and figured I'd see what I could get for a refinance. This slightly lower rate will save me 30 bucks a month, or actually knock 2.5 payments off if I keep paying the same amount.

So, if you have a higher rate it might be worth a look at a refi. I did mine through capital one, online, less than five minutes. Got my payoff from Toyota finance, filled out application online just for grins... liked what came back, mailed capitalone the title, they mail a check to Toyota, not difficult.

It may seem dumb or quaint to refi a car loan, but hey the savings speak for themselves. Fee for the loan was four dollars, which will pay for itself by the end of the week.

I was thinking about doing this as my Xterra is on a 8% rate from the dealer a year ago through wachovia(due to roll over on trade, economy etc). I just checked Chase and i could get it as low as 3.76% saving over $30 a month. I'll have to go more into the details I guess with the bank directly. 48 months left on my finance period, so if I can lower it even more it would be great. Sucks they kill u on used car rates(when you try to buy).
