What is everyone that is using the SI-1 using for a maintenance dose?

I have only ever used it for cleaning in the full dose application.

Steve

My maintenance dose is the full bottle with every oil change (5k, or about 8-9 months for my driving style).

I guess a quarter-bottle each month wouldn't be too bad. I snagged Regane on clearance last month for like $3.50 a bottle...for that price I'll just run a full bottle each month. :-)

I believe Red Line suggests 1/6 - 1/3 ounce per gallon.
I'll probably just use about a 1/4 bottle to my approximate 15 gallon fill ups.

Absolute overkill.....

Regane is a great product...but once a year is plenty

Redline Sl-1 is great for maintainance. I use about 2 oz. per fill-up (12-13 gal.)

The old si-1 bottles had 10 gallon increments, though I emailed redline and they said that the increments confused some people so they would not bring them back...

I just eyeball... Less is more. Try to find an old bottle, to of some old bottles to get the feel of a 10 gal dose...

From Dave at RL himself.

Hi Dave,

What is the suggested amount of SI-1 for continuous/maint use?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

The maintenance dose is 1 ½ ounces per 10 gallons used on a continuous basis.
