I use avast 4.8 and avg 7.5 so no problem there. Weird, still seeing red in this thread and never saw it here until yesterday.

Try Spybot Search and Destroy. Some spyware integrates with the browser and looks for keywords to highlight(they then get money based on how many times you 'click thru' to those sites from the sites who pay them). Some of the meaner ones will actually harvest your machine for data like contact lists and address books.

I tried spybot last week and hated it. I didnt like how it tried to take over everything.

It doesn't take anything over unless you load TeaTimer and IE Browser helper. If you have spyware you should consider using those to prevent it again. Or read up on safe browsing.


By the way why are you using both avast and avg? They are both real time virus protection! Your system has got to be slow as a dog.

Excuse me I said wrong. I have spyware quarantined with avg so no problems there. System runs great actually. For right now I have both to see which I prefer to keep.

Btw Im not running both at the same time. Ive had no problems since the programs catch spyware and malware. I also delete cookies I dont want on the computer as soon as Im done.

happened to me too.

I use S-1 every 20k just to clean out the gunk in the fuel system and help clean the FI. It works fine. Techron works as well. The rest of them are monkey water IMO.

I like to use redline at least every other oil change to keep stuff tip top. And it does. When we did FI cleaning in school the 5 Gas showed no decernable improvement in my car a very very little in an 88 'Olds that ran poorly before Redline SI-1.

The stuff rocks!!!

Spybot is old technology. If free 'floats your boat' then SAS or a-squared will do a better job
