When the Honda comes back (soon,) I think I will bless it with new fluid for its new parts. Thinking Redline Dx ATF.

I remember putting D6 in another car... and D6 seems recommended by Redline. I have the 1995 Civic and have already replaced it with new DW-1... and I want better.

Royal Purple for the Honda seems iffy based on review, AMSOIL ATF seems reviewed well, and I love Redline. I love Royal Purple too, but it loses here.

What would you use? Redline? D what?

*D4 is "higher viscosity."

I have nothing but praise for Amsoil ATF in the older Honda transmissions I've maintained. I've been using it in my Acura for 8 years and we are also using it in our 2001 Civic (which has a trouble prone transmission/torque converter). Zero problems to report with either.
