Redline D4 ATF

does anybody know if Redline D4 ATF can be used at Toyota TYPE IV transmission?

I doubt the above answer since there is no statement about T-IV specs from D4 ATF specs sheet.

Redline did mention the Toyota T-IV fluid and D4ATF that would be a suitable replacement.....what is to doubt?

Ask again, and ask about specifications to ease your mind!

Nor do they say anything about D4 ATF working with BMW/ZF transmissions but it does since it's MerconV compatible. And you can use MerconV in a BMW/ZF transmission..

IMO, just about any full synthetic is better then the T-IV.

I flushed a few to the D4. Toyotas shift a little 'better' with it. But, some may still want a smoother shift.
Only use it if Lubegard/Smartblend are available. You might need a couple ounces of the HFM to keep yourself happy.

With any ATF flush, consider resetting the TCM. It could be as easy as leaving the battery disconnected overnight(recommend to all), but some vehicles will need a scanner to erase 'learned habits'.

Red Line D4 ATF can be used in any atf type situation, or when a manual transmission requires dexronIII/mercon V type fluids.

D4 ATF shouldn't be used in a D/C ATF+3 or ATF+4 auto transmission, Redline makes the C+ ATF for that.
But it should work fine in a stick shift that took ATF+3/4.
