Here is the latest analysis on my wife's WRX. We ran the oil out to 6,800 miles with ZERO added oil. This is all city/highway, no autox and usually a pretty light foot (gas prices and all).

It compares to the previous analysis with Royal Purple w/Napa Gold filter. We had a crack in the air box, which caused the high silicon, and that was replaced. This sample was with a Pureone filter. Thoughts? I will be sticking to the Redline.

Stick with the Redline. I once ran my 3.0 V6 Aerostar about 8 miles on the freeway after the heater hose burst and there was no damage to the engine. Was running 5w20 Redline at the time. What the Redline had to do with it, I don't know, but can't help thinking that with a regular oil the engine would not have fared as well.

Yeah, I will stay with the Redline. Not sure how the analysis could be any better. If sounds like the engine has twice the average miles with only average wear, does that mean it is wearing out half as fast as the average engine?

What grade RP did you use?

That means low/no bearing wear right?
