FYI:

5W30: TBN 8, 1330 ppm zinc, 1200 ppm phosphorus and 950 ppm moly.
5W40: TBN 8.4, 1323 ppm zinc, 1175 ppm phosporus and 0 moly.

Because 5w30 is a bit of a sorry grade, even for POE and requires something extra to make it perform on par with a 40 in EP situations?

j/k Honestly, the POE 40 probably really doesnt need it.
