As far as RL or GG being superior. GC doesn't have the Moly that RL has but you would have to prove to me that RL is better. Haven't seen it with UOA's. But who is to say what 100K mile use with both oils would show on teardowns.

Oh sure you "CAN" do it if you want to, but is it wise? According to Terry, Red Line tech and Castrol tech, it's not recommended since the chemistries are so different. Will it hurt your engine? Probably, not. But odds are this blend is not going to do as well as when they're used exclusively.
 
Such a tough decision! I have the same 2.5L Subaru engine and G.C., M1 5W30 amd Redline 5W30 all sitting in front of me. Why can't there be a clear winner here?
 
When my ship comes in, it'll be all Redline, all the time for me. I'll donate my stash to the Church or something...When my ship comes in.
