Recommendations for coffee beans storage container

Anything with a 1-way valve like large mylar storage bags. Fresh coffee produces C02 and will puff out any bag that's sealed, especially vaccum packed. Same goes for anything sealed.

Check out the "Airscape" brand of coffee storage on the internet.
We have two canisters, airtight with locking plungers.
Most times we buy large quantities and store it in the large canister and place a fair amount in the smaller canister that gets opened every day. Nice solid build quality. (my wife labels EVERYTHING;))

I thought about mentioning that, but Ive had mixed results doing that for long term storage, and better results with a big bag.
Plastic can be a viable option, but two things against it depending on use. One, although reusable to a degree, it's wasteful compared to glass jars. Two, if coffee is really fresh and still degassing somewhat that plastic bag seal will be compromised.

Love glass.

When I say plastic I mean a food saver bag, I always make them long so I can reuse them and Ive never seen enough off gassing to overcome the vacuum, but yes any reusable can be considered wasteful compared to glass. I can fit more coffee in making stackable rectangular bags that fit th basket than I can glass.

We've got this or a version of it and for smaller amounts is works great.
The one we have the handle is very stiff to close and open, when its at the top its no big deal but as you chase the lid into the jar I get a call from Mrs. UD to help with it.
Im traveling at the moment but will take a picture when I return.
