I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey which has the high failure rate for their AT.

Any recommendations for an External Automatic Transmission Filter? I hear Magnefine alot on other forums but am not sure if this is the best for my van and trust the knowledge on this forum. Thanks for any input.

If Magnefine is the best option on a 2003 where would be the best location...sorry I am learning this mechanical stuff bit by bit. Also, what is the best source to order the Magnefine?

THANK YOU.

Can't comment to the Honda application, but they work on my
Powerstroke and are easily available at NAPA.Mine goes in the return line.

FWIW, a Magnefine is working well on my fiancee's 09 Honda Fit. I think I stuck it in the feed line from the transmission since I could get at that line. Those transmissions are packaged tightly in the engine bay.

Have a Magnefine on on a '00 Accord, added to the return line. A cartridge filter like that is your best bet for space reasons.

I've got one on each of my vehicles. Return line from the cooler would be the recommended location. Look around on your radiator for lines coming from and to the AT.

I just installed one on our 08 versa - extra filtration for a slush box is not a bad idea ? Lets face it OEM filtration is almost non existent

You might want to check the Odyssey forums (odyclub.com) and see if there is a how-to there. Adding a Magnefine is a popular mod for those vehicles.
