To be fair, depending on what you're looking to do, the amount of features and options that Ubiquiti's AirVision suite provides may be overwhelming. It is true that they are targeting more professional applications, but they have a very large home user group as well. I have one of their airCamDome units, and I don't even use the whole airVision software suite. I just use the camera's web interface which has a more limited subset of functionality, but for basic viewing and motion record, it's enough. You are limited to setting up only one motion zone though.
The best thing about their cams is that they are very stable. They don't freeze up or reset themselves like was the case with a cheaper TrendNet IP cam that I had before. Plus the TrendNet would trigger the motion record for no reason most of the time, regardless of sensitivity setting. It was just a piece of junk. But maybe there are other IP cams there that are better. I looked at a bunch on Amazon and they all had rather mixed reviews though.
