Looking for a small Inverter Generator . Somewhere around 2kw continuous . HONDA is not an option . Too expensive at this time . Checking the reviews on everything else they are good and bad. Any personal experiences ?

I recall reading that, but left my notes at home. Will have to do some more research tonight. I would like to buy a Honda but it's a steep upgrade! for someone who doesn't camp or do anything away from home.

Decided to just get it, I can always regret it later.

Champion 2500W, 1850 continuous, just two 15A outlets, but can parallel with a second unit and the adapter has the 30A outlet (that I don’t need). $470 at BJ’s. TSC didn’t have any gas, and it appeared same price as True Fuel at HD, deal with that later.

When I researched them back in the Spring the two Chonda clones at the top of about every list was Champion and WEN. I ended up with the WEN becuase it was a bunch cheaper, but would have done the Champion instead if price had been closer.

Piggybacking onto a thread here. How is parts availability for Champion? I'm thinking their 2,500W model might be a good fit for my needs, since I could buy two of them and still not touch what a Honda EU2200i would cost me... meaning, I could just buy two and leave one on the shelf as a spare!

Am thinking of a small invertor to run the fridge and the WiFi during the next storm, and maybe at some point pick up a 6,500W conventional generator to run the well pump someday. Invertor could run continuously, the big/noisy one as needed.

I see their manual is online, and gives p/n's, and they appear to have storefront from which you can order parts from.
Parts availability seems to be good. They have a warehouse in California and stock parts there. You can call and order parts direct, you don't have to go through a dealer.
I bought an open frame Champion 3500w unit at TSC as an "as is" item, was a return. It was missing the air filter cover and filter. I called to order the parts and they got them right out to me and the price was reasonable.
I've even had them ship me maintenance parts like air filters and oil drain washers for free!
Great company!
