1/2 NPT preferably 3/4, 0-140 PSI, Relieving, with built in filter, as long as it's not Ingersoll Rand. I already have a 2 year old $100.00 boat anchor. In my 51 years I have never had a regulator actually go bad like this, including at my uncles body shop when I was a kid. Made in Korea IIRC. This one acts like the relief valve is stuck open, if I diss-assemble then re-assemble its OK for a week, then sticks again. There seems to be some kind of chicanery with getting parts for this thing. I think it will make a fine target.

It might, but I have not found any dirt or moisture in the unit on diss-assy. The compressor is a 4 yr old 80 gallon vertical that gets drained frequently. I have never had to use a pre-filter before. The original IR regulator I had was fine, but it got recalled, and they sent me this thing, which of course promptly failed after the warranty was out.

I thought they did too.
It looks like I have to contact them or an IR service center to get parts. If that doesn't work out I'll be looking for a replacement. I don't mind paying for quality, but I get a little bent when I pay for quality and don't get it.

Thanks for the recommendations

Arrow, US made high quality. Milton were good and they may still be as long as they didn't do an IR and go offshore.

IR has really dropped the ball. Some years ago i bought some air tools from them that were Made in England, very nice quality and have held up really well.
I see the same models now same part# and specs Made in China, the difference is huge.

Posting NOW because other folks are having the same problem. The "O-Ring" on the VALVE ASSEMBLY did not get lubed during assembly. To FIX - Remove the Sight Glass; Remove the FILTER; Remove the Element Holder (it un-screws); Push out the Valve Assembly(may be hard to get out but it will come out - I used screwdriver - moving to keep even); LUBE with o-ring grease or vaseline and re-assembly. Valve Assembly should now move freely and problem solved. Chances are you will find the o-ring grease at the bottom of the Element Holder rather than on the o-ring where it must be..........
