My bottle of Fast Orange is almost empty and I'm looking for another heavy-duty hand cleaner to use. I need one that does not have that orange smell. Both my fiancee and my mom can't stand to be around me after I've used the Fast Orange because of the smell. I would prefer a liquid cleaner. I also don't like the ones that have that gritty feel, like there's grains of sand in it. Recommendations?

Dawn dish soap.
There are some cherry scented ones out there but it is a strong sweet cherry smell that I don't care for.Kind of like the cherry car spray freshener.
There is the old style creams like Goop and there is one found in Family Dollar type stores I think it is Moores G38 or something like that.
Then if you can find it TarKelp does a pretty good job and cheap shampoo for oily hair or thicker consistency shampoo will do a good job and leave you smellin good.lol.

Most liquid dish detergents do ok. I have a bottle of Joy in my sink in the garage.

Joe's All-Purpose Hand Cleaner smells like bubble gum and usually works better than Fast Orange. If you play the oreillysweeps game you can get a 5off5 code and try some at a discount (just have to make 2 trips to an oreillys auto parts to get the ball rolling).

+1 on Joe's hand cleaner from O'Reilly's. It does work very well without the grit and does not smell bad. To me it smells like bananas. It does not dry out your skin either.
I always liked the original Go-Jo, with its non-perfumed Lanolin smell. Don't know how readily available it is anymore- seems like simple and basic products have all been scented-up and fancied up to try to win market.
Oh, and whatever you use for the initial grease-dissolving step, follow it up with Lava soap. THAT product is still available in its original, unadulterated form. Just received a 24-bar pack from Amazon a few weeks ago.

I've been using that since I got a sample at a trade show back in about '88. It works very well, I have the wall dispenser with the plastic bottle refills.

Ive found that the WORX brand green powder works the best for me.
Vibra-clean
Generic canola oil followed by dawn. Work a nice coating of canola oil on your hands and rub together for a while. Dirt and grease will dissolve into the oil, then wash with dawn to remove the oil. You could get a pump bottle for the oil to make it less messy.
Goop, it used to be available at WalMart and is just as good or better than the Joe's from the parts stores. The absolute best I have ever used is Zep TKO. That stuff is abrasive though. At home I just use concentrated dish soap.

I have used everything. From gel styled cleaners to orange based stuff. NOTHING works better then LAVA bar soap. Walmart sells this cheap in the auto section.... a few dollars for 2 bars. The wrapper says 'wd 40 company' on it. Fantastic stuff.
