Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Have a 2019 VW Passat, it has the Cross Traffic Alert. While backing up yesterday it beeped as it should. Another car came past several
seconds later and no beep. The car was driving slowly past. Any ideas?

The system is not 100% accurate. I've found ours to work 95% of the time.

Some say VW electrical issues stopped with MKIV, others know it never stopped.

Jk. Same thing happens on many other cars. Japanese, Korean, American, German, etc... System is ok, but not perfect. Sometimes it sees ghosts, other times it misses a BELAZ-7557.

Make sure your sensors are clean.

Second vehicle was just close enough the system interpreted it as one long continuous pass not two individual passes?
