This is what Toyota calls for in this diff:
GL-5,
Above -18C (0F)
SAE 90
Below -18C (0F)
SAE 80W or 80W-90

I'd like to run Redline 75w90 if its possible. Would this be OK?

The transfer case says 75w90 so I'm good there. If both could take it, it would really simplify the changes.

I would think so, as Red Line's 75w90 is a very stout formula. 80w90 is a bit of an unusual grade, and I suspect they spec'd that because it's a bit stronger.
 
Yes, I have run the Red Line 75W-90 in my Tundra for around 8 years with excellent results. It also calls for the 80W-90. Red Line is very good stuff.

I'm running M1 75w-90 in my 97 T4R...both differentials and transfer case. I'm sure its good for at least 50K before a drain and fill on all 3 cases.
Runs smooth....like butta
 
I am going to pick up some M1 for my 2006 Sequoia this week, I bought it used with 58k on it it now has 105,00 on it I have never done the differentials yet. I have done the timing belt and water pump. plugs and differentials are next weeks project

I have a 2005 Sequoia that I purchased brand new. I've been running Amsoil severe gear 75W-140 in the rear diff and 75W-90 in the transfer case and front diff. I tow quite frequently and have had excellent results.
 
Thanks for the advise. I've used Redline for the past 11 years on my last truck and it definitely made a difference, especially MT-90 in the manual 5-speed. Looks like I'll continue to be a Redline customer.
