I see the Ravenol has high Sodium but how is it doubled after the interval? Results seem pretty consistent other than lab variation for the same oil. So, you've been adding around 1/2 quart? Not bad at those mileages but there's not a ton of miles on the engine either. Fuel seems to be under control.

Good Question - I have no idea - it isn't losing coolant and i'm not even sure what's in VW G13.

That's True - but the VOAs are quite different over the years.

I don't normally add oil until it hits "ADD" which is rare. But if it is middle of the range and going on a long trip (as was the case here) i will add because i don't want the low oil warning to come on when my Bride is out of town and she drives in a ahem "spirited" manner.

I'm thinking back and it is possible the used oil was from various batches because i obviously don't use a 5 liter bottle every change, the baseline was out of a new bottle that went in the sump, so i guess we will see in a year or so.

I guess the question is do I continue to run this or do I go off script with something like - wait for it - M1 - 0/40.
