I am finding that the radiator on my new tractor is going to be in need of constant cleaning. I used air last time but I see that air pressure alone is not going to be adequate. Does anyone have tips and suggestions for what they use to clean radiator fins. Space is tight, ac compressor and oil cooler are sandwiched in there as well. The removable cleaning screen design is terrible and requires removal of the air intake hose :(

I believe the OP is talking about the outside of the radiator.

There is no mention of the type of material that needs to be removed.

If it's greasy stuff, Castrol Superclean may help loosen it. Can you get a paintbrush in there?

The only tool I have used is one of those combs to straighten the fins... I didnt like it, felt it was a pain to use and was just as easy to damage the radiator as a small screw driver. For cleaning, either a degreaser (simple green maybe or purple power...) and pressure washer..

Pressure washer but be very careful because if the pressure is too high or the pattern is too tight you will bend the fins. Also try cleaning from the reverse side of the airflow. If the air goes thru the radiator front to back then clean from back to front.

Sorry guys I should have said it's grass and stuff that gets stirred up when mowing
