I've not ordered a fitbit (based on the results of me stepping on the scale) but have ordered stuff, electronics and small kitchen appliances from HSN. Look for discount codes for first purchase and the like for sometimes pretty good deals. One issue I have is often needing to research the actual model numbers of products advertised. For example just because they mention Samsung or HP laptop, doesn't tell me the exact model being advertised for comparison shopping.

What model is it? I just usually do some sort of alert on slickdeals.net and if you stick fitbit in as the search term, there's usually a deal that pops up all the time. Also while I had the Charge HR and HR2 which were fine, the 3 is a disaster, some bad firmware, design decisions made on it. Lots of threads about an unhappy face basically bricking the thing just a couple months after release. If you're going to get one, wait a few more months to see if they get their act together.

Have never bought from QVC, but i bought the wife a Fitbit Alta HR for christmas from Amazon and she loves it. Reg $159 on sale for $79.

Speaking of QVC, you really need to watch the South Park episode "Cash for Gold"...they absolutely destroy the jewellery shop-at-home channels.

I have ordered from them for years, but you have to be careful. I typically make 2 or 3 purchases a year from them, and usually it is a Today's Special Value. At times their prices are good and other times not. I would never buy a computer or jewelry or clothes (but they never have mens clothes anyway).

They have occasional deals on slickdeals just like HSN. Stuff like a prepaid tracfone with a phone and a year of service for $79.

You probably wind up on a bunch of mailing lists, so use something like 10 minute email to screen your calls.
