I drive my 04 grand marquis (90,000 miles) all freeway about 150 miles plus a day. I use Amsoil XL 5w30. How many miles would you go between oil changes? Appreciate any feedback. Hope you all have a great day.

I’ve had several of these over the years, great cars! My wife had a 2004 Grand Marquis that at the time drove 65 miles each way all highway. I used Valvoline Maxlife and Mobil 1 High Mileage a lot in it. I changed it between 6 and 8,000 miles. It never really used much oil at all between changes either.

I'd go 7500 miles, get an analysis and you may be able to extend the change interval to 10k depending on the results.

Great engine that is easy on oil, 7,500 miles is perfectly fine. 10K will work too. In general I won't extend an oil change to 10K unless I'm using adequate viscosity and very high quality oil. The reason is simple, wear causing particulates and contaminates accumulate over time. There is a direct relationship between viscosity and particulate related wear. When particles are larger than the oil film thickness, they act as abrasives between surfaces, accelerating wear.

If your engine isn't doing something badly, your driving pattern could get you to OCIs.
Long trips loaning to long OCIs = common knowledge.
The devil is in the details.

Several oil analyses showed my oil had life remaining after the recommended 7,500 mi. OCI.
I won't push it to 10k because accurately reaching the "Congrats, You've Used it All Up Club" isn't worth it to me.

I'd probably pull a sample at 7500 and see where it is.

4.6s are pretty easy on oil. And if you're just idling down the highway at 1200 RPM all day, it isn't going to beat it up ...

I would switch to AMSOIL Signature Series and send it at least 12,000 miles with a good filter. I would check the oil level if you are driving fast it may use some oil at higher rpms. Highway use I would run heavier oil like 5W30 or 10W30. If higher in miles or consuimng oil maybe go to a 40Wt. I have even ran Mobil1 15W50 and have over 300,000 miles on my 96 now with no noticeable difference in anything like fuel economy but the temp gauge seems to run lower longer on heavier oil. I strongly prefer synthetic but think they do well on anyhting no turbos or high rpms in these engines

just stay with what you are using, AMSOIL XL 5w-30 is good oil, and a good filter, you should be ok till around 7-8k on highway ,don't forget to have transmission serviced.
