Question regarding sigs and quoting.

Maybe I missed the info, but have there been any new webboard rules implemented lately?
I can't see my signature or anyone else's and I am not able to quote others' posts.

That's what I assumed but wanted to double check it wasn't my cookies or board settings.

But I didn't thank that either of these would be so bandwith intensive.

There were some folks that didn't play by the rules and decided to put messages in their signature that violated the board rules. So the signatures were turned off for all. About 4 months or so ago I think?

I think longer ago than that on the signatures. Haven't missed thema bit, distracting at best. I do miss the quote.

I see about the sigs, and since I'm an admin on another board, understand too.

Well you can still quote but it's more labour intensive now. Copy, hit quote button, paste..

Also miss Quote function too. Pleeeeeease bring that back and administer electronic whoopin's as needed if it's abused.

Looks like the quote still works? What seems to be the problem?

People were quoting posts that had large pictures in them and you'd get a dozen copies of that picture in each post. So now you have to go to the Full Reply Form and copy/paste.

Better to politely whack the individuals misusing the Quote function instead of removing it for all. Sigs? No worries there ... they get bloated but the Quoting button is VERY useful.

The quote function only works when you use the "full reply form" and even then you have to copy and paste from the main thread.

What I'm missing and others I guess is the "quote" button that was displayed on each individuals post in the thread. So if you wanted to quote a specific post, all you had to do was hit the "quote" button on that individuals' post.
