Question regarding my 08 Dodge Caravan antenna

Not so sure this is a mechanical issue but I just purchased a used 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE and the antenna is mounted on the front passenger side and rather than it being straight vertical up and down it leans outward toward the right away from the vehicle. at the base it does not appear to be bent at all and it's straight throughout, but it leans. is this normal and the way it is simply designed? I was trying to find other photos on the web to see if they are the same but could not. any info appreciated. thank you

That's what was great about the ol coat hanger wire antenna... form them to meet user needs. Re-form after drive-thru car wash or remove/replace. Most homes will have them in stock.

O1rangerxl...thank you. that answers my question. appears to be normal. I dont like how it looks, but as long as its designed that way, I'm good. No, the base is not crooked. everyting is flush to the body and tight and the length of the antenna from bast to top are not bent or curved whatsoever. it just leans out as the pic shows in this thread

I took the antenna off our '07 Chrysler minivan. I thought it looked very corny for a modern car to have a coat hanger on the front fender. Radio reception didn't change much; we listened to Sirius mostly anyway. If you don't like the look of it, try riding around with it removed for a while. You may find that you receive radio signal fine without it.

Lots of vehicles have crooked or slanted antennas. I notice that a lot since I used to be in the car stereo installation business. They seem to come that way from the factory. You can grab the antenna near the mounting base and bend it gently with your hand pressure only. Bend it inward until it looks more straight, but it will still look a bit off at the base.
