I always prefill my oil filters. I am putting on a PF 932 oil filter on my 454 engine. This filter is a larger than normal filter and it took about 1.5 quarts of oil. As quick as I could pour the oil into the filter it filled all the way up till it started coming out of the small holes. The whole process took less than a minute. I have never had a filter fill this quick. Is it normal for this filter to fill this quick, and not have a back flow preventer on it?
