Question for Too Slick

A friend of mine wants to know which is better for a 2003 Honda civic. Amsoil 0w30 or the new amsoil HDD series 3000 5w30 oil? Also, how often should the oil/filter be changed for OPTIMUM engine cosideration (cleaniness and wear). He will be using the amsoil sdf 20 oil filter. Thanks. Mark.

It would be nice if the Amsoil Reps would post their replies here. I might be buying either the HDD 5W30 or 0W30 for an LT1 Chevrolet in the future. Right now I'm leaning toward the HDD 5W30.
