Question for Pablo and/or Gary Allen

I did a little more researching on my own. The Tremec T6060 transmission in these cars came with Dex III as factory fill. When GM shifted their ATF to Dex VI, they excluded the T6060 and sent out a service bulletin stating to not use the Dex VI in these transmissions that damage could result. Their new recommendation is to use the GM Manual Transmission fluid that has ATF as part of the recipe. It is part # 88861800 and is recommended for all Corvettes from 1997 to current models.

With that, my question to Pablo (who may be getting impatient with me, sorry), is this. Will remaining ATF left in this transmission after a drain, about 1-1.5 qts, mix alright with Amsoil MTF?

I can always submit the question to Amsoil technical myself but Pablo and Gary seem so knowledgeable I just figure I could get a faster answer here.

For both of you, it's actually Qts. Fill is 4.25 Qts but when you do a drain and refill, you can only get in about 3.1 qts. I think the cooler and lines retain fluid. That's what my experience was when I shifted to the Amsoil ATF. I suspect I will have the same experience when I shift to the MTF.

Thanks both of you for all your help.
