Question about PYB...

So I bought a gallon of 5w30 (GF-4, SM) yesterday. I got it on sale at Kmart for $8.99!

It says... "Already exceeds 2010 GF-5 engine protection requirements" and "Exceeds API SM and ILSAC GF-4"

What's the different between what I got and the new (GF-5, SN) stuff???

I don't know, I'd still use it. I like just about all the major brands.

There is no difference. It is probably the older bottle with the reformulated SN oil inside it. They had SM, reformulated and changed the bottle as a halfway point between SN's release. SO you have SN rated oil(good stuff).

I should pick up a couple jugs from Walmart.

Nothing much if you don't leak oil and if you don't have a turbo

That Pennzoil Conventional is pretty stout stuff.

I'll bet it also says 40% cleaning on it.
If it does, you have the new version.
It is an intermediate package, though.
Since even the old stuff was great, you will be just fine.
No MC was at Walmart, so I have the new Pennzoil Conventional in my ZX2 now.
