Question about new Ford IOLM

Have been searching the internet for information on how the new Ford IOLM works since I bought my wife a 2011 MKX.
Does anyone have info on how it works, mainly does it work like the GM system or have different variables? The MKX has the new 3.7L VVTI 6cycl engine. So far have 3000 miles on the vehicle in a little over 2 months and the IOLM shows 77% remaining.

i think 08 and prior ford olm wasnt much on accuracy, but i do believe the newer fords are on par w gm, that said i still wouldnt go to 0 by no means

I know Ford is moving towards 10K change intervals, for what it's worth.
