I will buy what I can get the best deal on. I would rather have the 4-5 quart jugs. I cut the bottoms off and have organized a 50 year accumulation of nuts, bolts, pipe fittings, thingamabobs, etc. in them.

One advantage of my fixation on Pennzoil conventional is that whatever is left over after an oil change I just keep for the next.

No, it was the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 Green Cap.

The Syntec 5w40 I use in the GTI only comes in quarts. If it came in a jug, I'd get that.

my walmart sells Mobil 1 0w20 in 5 quart jugs....they have been for a while now.
