Quality floor jack recommendations

I talked with a guy at AZ once that told me he just buys the HF floor jack and gets the extended warranty, then every few years he just takes it back and gets a new one. Seems like a decent strategy. My 3.5 ton Craftsman (circa 2002) is just a generic Chinese jack and I suspect the HF ones are actually better quality than it.

I guess there are many definitions of quality. For auto makers, it is warranty charges and that is about it. For the consumer, it is both problem free use and long life, relative to the expected life of that type of product. Unless we are talking quality pastries, which we are not.

Milwaukee makes awesome floor jacks. Pricey, yes, but it will last you several lifetimes with proper care. Another bonus is that it's an American made tool.

I had a gray HF 3.5 ton that I loved, only got rid of it when I got one of the Daytona ones as a gift. Allegedly the Daytona one is made along side some Snap On one, there's more info on Garage Journal about it. Whatever it is, best jack I've ever had. Just feels very high quality. Better than any Craftsman or AC Delco one I've had.

Did a pair of HF's finest "Low Profile Racing" jacks when my existing ones finally went south.

3-ton #64544 and 2-ton #64833 serve their purpose and are easy enough to schlep about.

Can't speak to long term durability so please share your replacement selection.

Beautiful

I recently bought the 3 ton from harbor freight to replace my craftsman 3 ton. Have no complaints with it. Lifts my diesel 3/4 ton truck from end just as good as the old craftsman did.
