I know this is a SOPUS product, and I am fond of Pennzoil and Formula Shell products, but QS doesn't get mentioned much here, especially dino. Any thoughts? Anyone use it?

I used it in my old car after using Valvoline and I liked it, it's always reasonably priced also. Around here, it's usually a dollar cheaper if you buy it in the jug, compared to other brands.

If you can buy the dino at a price between Pennzoil and Shell, that's when the value of this oil shines.

All SOPUS oils are very good. I have the opinion that Formula Shell is the new, former, low cost Havoline around here. We just need a few more UOAs to confirm it.

I like the green bottle!

There are a few UOA's on QS dino oil, and they show excellent wear control, excellent shear stability, and a decent additive pack. It's often a tad cheaper than Pennzoil and in my part of the world easier to find than FormulaShell.

Quaker state is quality stuff, I used it for awhile, but it is harder to find and Formula shell is cheaper. It seems to fall in the middle between the Formula shell and dino penz, which means it gets overlooked.

The neat thing about an oil forum, is that, you never have to worry about someone bashing your oil of choice, because every oil on the shelf is actually pretty darned good. I always liked the green bottles, for some reason their customer relations (advertising methods, website design, etc) has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way, especially when they were selling slick50 versions of QS, lol... Ever since then, I can't really get myself to buy QS, even though I know there is a fine quality oil waiting behind the green plastic (or clear plastic in the case of the new synths). haha

Home Depot had it last year for 97 cents per quart on closeout. I bought 3 cases and I should have bought more now that I think about it .
