Quaker State Ultimate Durability quart gottles get a face lift - PICS

I was at menards today and saw that Quaker State Ultimate Durability has a new bottle. No more clear bottles and instead they are the same color as the Quaker State Ultimate Durability jugs. Look at the date on the pic and you will see this is as fresh of oil as you can get!

Them new bottles have not made it to my Menards here in Iowa. Just bought 5qts yesterday. By the dust on the bottles it doesn't look like they move alot of it. I like the new bottles.

Yeah, that was kind of their trademark / distinguishing factor. I'm guessing the new bottles are cheaper to source than the clear plastic ones.

I thought the clear bottles were pretty cool. I was actually disappointed that the 5 qt. jugs weren't also clear.

I gotta say SOPUS labeling strategy for the QS line leaves me scratching my head. Thankfully the knowledge I've gathered here at BITOG has lead me to the bargain that is Quaker State Ultimate Durability for $4.20/QT locally.

Yep, this week it's Pennzoil Platinum on sale.

I'll bet my Menards has the new bottles because I pretty much cleaned them out of 5W-20 Quaker State Ultimate Durability when it was on sale for $2.99 a few weeks ago.

The local Walmart still has the Quaker State Ultimate Durability 1 qt. bottles on clearance for 5.00. Nobody's biting.

i stop at 2 or 3 different stores a week to check out oil sections. if i go out of town i may spend a couple hours hitting up different stores just checking out their oil selection and looking for scores. i find it fascinating.


the new Quaker State Ultimate Durability bottles look great. im going to pick up a couple jugs of PP at walmart tomorrow as they have a 10$ mail in rebate on them. that will make them 12.47 a jug...such a steal!
