Vehicle: '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8
Oil: 5 qts Quaker State (dino) 10W30 & 1 qt Mobil 1 10W30
Oil use interval: 5,500 miles
Makeup qts: 0
Oil Filter: Purolator Premium
Air Filter: Airiad (cotton gauze simlar to K&N)
Note: This vehicle is driven 70% hwy & 30% city. It is stock except for an Airraid Cold Air Intake System and slightly larger than stock exhaust system using a Flowmaster muffler. Prior to this OCI the oil was changed every 3K since new using 10W30. This vehicle is driven aggressively, used for light to medium duty towing and on this oil change the vehicle has seen 20 passes down the 1/4 mile (runs mid to high 15's).
Blackstone said: "No problems showed up in this oil. All wear read better than average levels, even though your oil use run of 5,500 miles was longer than average. This is a good indication of normal wearing parts. Universal averages show normal wear for the Jeep 4.7L V8 after 5,365 miles on the oil. Insolubles were low at 0.4%, showing good air filtration. No fuel dilution or anti-freeze was found. Silicon was below average, so your air filtration is still getting the job done. At 82,800 total miles, this engine appears to be doing well. Try 6,000 miles on the next oil."
