Here's something strange I just found:
I was looking at the PDS for Quaker State Ultimate Durability and QS Dexos blend. Both oils meet Dexos but the blend is only $17 at Walmart.

The Dexos blend has a lower pour point (-45 vs -42), a lower viscosity at -30 (4180 cp vs 4980 cp), and a very similar flash point (235 degrees vs 237). The dexos blend is also thicker at operating temperature (11.3 vs 10.8)

What do you guys think? The Pennzoil blend is reported to be 50% synthetic, so this may be similar. I assume they use a similar add pack, but I'm not sure.

I think this point will need to be revisited now that a reformulation has taken place. These data sheets are outdated now.

No, bottle color doesn't indicate anything as far as I'm aware. I was able to find Dexos1 Gen1 Quaker State Ultimate Durability with the green bottle, but now the same green bottle contains the new Gen2 formulation.

No they have the current data sheets posted go to their site.

Nothing on that FAQ says that it's updated for the new formulation. The date on their PDS still reads from 2014. If you have a link to an updated PDS, please post it.
