New Quaker State Ultimate Durability formulation?

It is interesting, but with no Technical Data Sheet or MSDS it is a little hard to figure out what one is buying. Of course the way Shell attends to its website the documents should be available in a year or so.

im not sure about this oil so far i like it if the price goes up i wont use it.. I say this all the time.. my favorite oil is ultra except they priced it way out of reach so only a few buys it.
the good thing about oil price is that i dont change my oil as often i wait 6000-7000 miles or 1 year

Feb 2013 update added GM DEXOS1, Honda HTO-06, European ACEA A1-02 (SAE 0W-20 and SAE 5W-20) and A5-02 (SAE 5w30).

I am not sure the Feb 2013 PDS is the latest version. In the description there is no advertising the MPG savings, a big feature when advertising the "latest" version which PR came out in May of this year. Now it may be the exact same oil and they just changed the marketing........??? JMHO.

The technical data page of the Feb 2013 document is dated May 2011, which presumably predates what seems like a pretty recent reformulation.

what gives the better mpg is it the oil is just thinner?

The Honda HTO-06 is a tough spec. Not many oils meet that. Something to keep in mind.

I'm not sure if this is the latest formula, but the Noack went from 11.71 to 8.8. Getting pretty close to PU.
