QT paid customer $20k+

Absolutely they will. I was contacted by Speedway's insurance for my debacle, and that was only $1,400.
Maybe they're self-insured and whoever contacted you was working on behalf of them or "managing" their "insurance". They probably have claims for damage on a daily basis and what insurance company would cover them ? Sure, they can just raise rates but at some point, it's unsustainable to Speedway.

They are self-insured. Speedway was acquired by 7-11 some years ago in a $21-Billion dollar deal. They aren't paying insurance rates.

QT is my second source of Top Tier gas, way behind Costco. Twenty years ago they so dominated the St Louis market that the AG opened a inquiry as to their price fixing. They'd cut prices ten cents and every other vendor would immediately follow. All charges were quickly dismissed. Good chain. Glad to know they continue to stand behind their product.
