I bought up a few quarts of Quaker State Conventional on clearance. A couple quarts f 10w/40, a couple 10w30 and a couple of 30 HD. Vehicle that it would be used in is a 1991 Chevrolet K1500 with 4.3 V6, 89k miles. I could use it next summer using a blend of all of these. Next option would to be to mix it with 2 or 3 quarts of Pennzoil High Mileage 5w30. Ive never ran a straight 30 before. Wasnt sure how it would affect viscosity of whatever it was mixed with. Your thoughts? The vehicle has leaky valve stem seals, so a thicker oil might be of some benefit. OCI would be 3k max.

If you insist on mixing it, I'd do so in the summer, or use them in small engines. I wouldn't be playing with a mix of that stuff in your upcoming winter.

I could always add it as a fifth quart to whatever oil I decid to run on a regular basis, which will be something from the Pennzoil family. I will probably run Pennzoil High Mileage.

Id mix all 3 together and call it good. Maybe add 1 quart of a 5w20 if you really wanted. Might be a good blend for the 3.8 too.
