Quaker State Advanced Full Synthetic 5W/30 (Purchased summer 2007) I'm pretty sure it's API SM
but I've already disposed of all the bottles.
Engine: Toyota 1.8L 4-cyl
Make/Model: Chevy Prizm
Oil Filter: Wix
Air Filter: Toyota OEM (Denso)
Months in Service: 6
Most trips were 2.5 to 6 miles. One 1,200 mile trip and a handful of 20 to 50 mile trips.
The driving conditions have been pretty gentle, especially with the flat Indiana terrain, and
summer driving; though we did take it into the PA mountains on the 1,200 mile trip.
Comments from Blackstone:
Everything looks good in the first sample from your Prizm. Neither the short daily trips nor the one
long haul seems to have bothered your engine at all. Universal averages for the 1.8L are based on an oil
run of ~6,500 miles. We think running your next oil that long would work out just fine for you. The TBN read
2.7 so you had plenty of active additive left to have run this oil a bit longer. We consider a TBN reading of
around 1.0 too low for extended use. No harmful contaminants were found in your sample of used 5W/30.
Nice engine!

Filled it up with the same oil for this run though there was some strange residue in the bottom of the bottles: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubb...308#Post1653308
Planning to switch to Pennzoil Platinum
after that.
The Blackstone recommended increase in OCI by 2,000 miles seems like big increase to me but
certainly fits with the numbers I've seen on the other UOA's posted here. Thoughts?
