QS Full Syn vs Pennzoil Full Syn

The ratings and approvals will give us the basic standards of an engine oil. I am not positive we can guarantee the xyz brand is the same base oil /additive blends as the same XYZ oil made with the same ratings as a batch made a year later.

Let’s put it like this: both are GTL (gas to liquid base oil).
Pick whichever is cheaper.

This has been beaten to death here lately. Somedays I seriously just shake my head.
Most of the OTC oils are pretty similar. But are they the same? no.

QS full syn is Dexos approved. Pennzoil is not.

PP is not DEXOS?
He said Pennzoil full syn, not PP.

You sure Pennz black label is GTL?

If you go back and read the Pennzoil FAQ page they state they didn't see the need for dexos approval. I read it as they didn't see the need to spend the $$$$.
If you read, and believe, the Pennzoil PDS of these two oils, they are the same. QS will be cheaper with the plain Jane bottle.

What I don't understand is Pennzoil 0w-40 Euro is Porsche A40 approved. Porsche only allows 5w-40. 0W-40 is Porsche LL01.
