Q&A on Aircraft Structures II

The interesting thing is Stockton Rush was working with the University of Washington, and Boeing in regards to testing/design of the Titan at one point.
Boeing had said that they felt it was not safe/viable submersible using carbon fiber.

They were spot on.........

Any of the tech talk about loads etc is way over my head. I do understand the the 787 jet has pressure on the inside. Where the Titan was taking pressure on the outside. That I understand.
