Pennzoil Conventional is great, but 3k is a waste. Don't your trucks have the OLM? If so, you can follow it with confidence.
If mine had it I would either disconnect it or put a piece of tape over it. Or, just ignore it.

I believe the black 'soot' that sometimes settles to the bottom of the container is moly.....since Pennzoil conventional has more than just about any regular oil on the market.
I've cut the container and felt the 'soot' and it definitely isn't dirt.....it's very slippery...

I would never think it would be dirt on the bottom, but as stated before, an additive that has fallen out. It is kind of puzzling though.

Heck I used Pennzoil Conventional and Castrol GTX in my early 80`s Turbo back in the day. (for lots of miles too) and not easy ones either.

Personally, Pennzoil Conventional is not that great to me, valvoline or castrol does a better gob, and really, you car dont give a [censored] really...

Totally agree. I've had great results with M1 but would be comfortable substituting PU easily...I don't because my Walmart doesn't sell it and AA / AZ PU are much more expensive than M1 at Wally.
BTW: My Wally now has Mobil 1 0w40 and 0-40 EP

Expect the same results as you have with every other brand name oil you have used in it over the years. Good oil just like the rest.
