I'm about to change oil again! I'm currently running PP 5w20. I want to use a synthetic but don't want to pay the difference. ST Synthetic is $1 more than PYB. I run PYB in my other vehicles. Is there much of a difference between the two?

ST synth is excellent oil, at least the Warren blend sold in MI.
Listing the car, displacement, driving style, trip duration, etc might help others help you.
I would choose ST synth over PYB.
Find out who blends ST synth in your area.

57K short trips 90% in town and red light to red light driving. WPP is the blender at the local Wally World.

ST syn is good oil.I have used it many times over the years, and it comes out with far more "body" than some other oils....almost like it never thinned.A great deal.

PYB please. Great add pack, good performing oil. But why not spend another $10 AT MOST on a good synthetic? Its only an extra $10 over the course of 5 months or so. Cut out 2 McDonalds meals and your back on track.

What will this do? Sorry engine rarely fail. When engines fail lubrication is only a small fraction of a percentage of the reasons why engines fail.

Cars are here to service owners. Owners are not on this earth to service cars. Also how do you know Supertech Synthetic is not as good as more expensive synthetics?

Then again you are the guy that buys the most expensive PCMO on the shelves and changes it at 2K even after the data states that you are wasting time, money, resources, for the sake of vanity.

Run the synthetic. Less deposits on your piston rings, valvetrain area.

Are you here to argue? I agree, engines rarely fail. And the OP asked, syn or conventional..I gave him my opinion. No more 2K oci for me, I have learned a lot on this great site. Done!
