Does the sm Pennzoil Conventional 5w20 or 5w30 still contain more moly then its rivals? Figured honda usualy likes to have lots of moly in their oils and this would be a better alternitive over say gtx lol.

While Pennzoil conventional has moly, it seems to be in the 65ppm range.

The highest conventional oil for moly seems to be Havoline/Chevron (which are the same oil) which has about 200ppm, plus about 65ppm of Boron.

Both are great oils.

how much moly and zinc is in Valvoline conventional, castrol gtx and motorcraft to compare between these 2 oils.

Idemitsu I believe, toyota 0w20 has a bunch of moly too.

When moly went up in prices Pennzoil conventional lowered the ammount. In some VOA and UOA you can see for yourself. Havoline has the most dino wise. The fact that both Honda and Toyota 0-20 have high moly, says something. What are they telling us????What is Redline saying how come Amsoil has so little??? Honda is about to suggest 0-20 in other than the FIT which as of today is the only one they suggest this weight. Things are about to happen re. 0-20 in the leading car mfg. look forward to 2010 oil wise.

There are other additives other than moly that will serve the same function. A little more boron or magnesium for example.

lipadj46 is correct about Idemitsu making the Honda and Toyota 0W-20 oils. The rest of the Honda and Toyota oils are made by ExxonMobil.

Honda is looking into 0W-10 oils for the future.

Neither one will take street race beating - but for normal driving, I would go with Pennzoil conventional. The Undisputed BITOG Dino Champ.

I went through the used oil analysis section and Pennzoil Conventional 5w20 or 5w30 had 100+ Moly. So i figured its on sale now for 8.88 for 4.4L and its loaded with moly like honda oil(mixed by pertro canada here) for half the price and Honda oil. So for a civic maybe pyb>gtx lol

I follow your school of thought. PZ has a decent dose, similar to others. Not sure if havoline is still as good.

If youre really keen on moly, Id go for schaeffer's...
