I have been looking up exhausts for my 2024 Tahoe. I enjoy the Borla Touring on the new GM trucks. Found out that GM Performance “resells/guides” Borla for performance exhausts.

I found one that had a nice dual tipped pipe exiting behind the passenger tire. GM19431801

Looked on eBay and luck would have it… got a steal on a black chrome tipped one. $800 shipped to my door outta a Chevy dealer in Missouri. These MSRP for $1800+.

Sure enough, a GM parts label on a Borla box.

Love it. Sounds good. Looks good. I need a little noise. Just what the truck needed.

Sounds Awesome!

I too have been a Borla fan since 2000. Exhaust sound and tone are extremely subjective and IMO, Borla has a signature sound that no one seems to be able to replicate w/o becoming obnoxiously loud.

Any drone on the highway?
Sounds great.
Maybe a touch but hardly any. When cruising at 70-75 on the NY Thruway with music at a normal volume, you’d never know. It only starts to speak when you drop a gear to pass slower traffic.

Is that a 5.3? Sounds great.
Yes it is, aluminum 5.3, L84 Gen 5 DI LTx motor.

Sounds great even better for the price. How much for installing?
Nothing. Stopped by my FIL’s house and threw it up on his lift. We had it on in about 45 minutes. Fortunately the old exhaust unbolted nicely and has a flange at the rear axle. So I was able to nicely save the stock exhaust.

Truthfully this is my first actual Borla and I can see why they have such a following. Makes any MBRP I had in the past sound like trash. Love the sound and how nice of quality the system was.

Got Borla axle backs on both my Hondas, on this car added the RV6 mid pipe and my exhaust guy says the fitment of borla is hard to beat. Better steel than magna flow and louder.

When I was younger I would covet the other cars that I heard driving down the road that had a throaty sound. I even put one of these on my 73 Bronco. I was on cloud 9! These days I want the lowest decibel possible. No burble No constant drone no bothering the neighbors in the morning. But that is what is great about the automotive scene, everybody can be different and that's OK.
