Which Purolator filter is their top of the line? I always get the Pure one & Premium Plus confused.

Thanks in advance

Pureone, but some people feel it may be a bit too restrictive. The Premium Plus should be nearly as good as the Pureone, and likely less restrictive.

After checking out Gary Allen's new test, I'm not so sure that any filter actually restricts the flow of oil (well, up to a point). The oil pump is a positive displacment pump, so if it's in correct working order, it'll pump the same amount of oil through the filter regardless UNLESS or until the pump bypass opens. I'd be the filter would reach it's PSID and the bypass would open before there was enough restriction/total system pressure to force the pump bypass open. So the filter may bypass just a little on cold starts, but once the oil temp comes up, it probably rarely bypasses.

Gary's results I guess will really tell the tale.

Here's some new stuff

So far, aside from the limits of the pump ..I see the filter being transparent in regard to flow.
