PUROLATOR “TECH” TL12222 CUT OPEN

Hello again BITOGERS

this filter and bulk 5w30 oil was off a female friends 2019 4 cylinder Dodge Journey for 3,xxx miles. Vehicle hasn’t been driven much also. Only 28,500 on odometer. I put some CarQuest Syn HM 5w30 and a AC DELCO PF48 in and on. The smeared/smashed area of pleats is from me as I think a gorilla put the dang filter on.

Doesn't look too bad, the louvers are open but the some of the pleat spacing is questionable.
I still don't care for the filter media's lack of strength. I'd only use/trust their BOSS filter.

Yeah, I’ve saw some pretty shoddy Puro “tech” filters I cut apart in the past. They don’t inspire confidence in me.

I think this one looks just fine. Maybe it's my imagination but the media in this filter looks more substantial than the regular Purolator Red filters...
