Purolator standard filter

No good. Glad I didn’t use. As found when opened, two pieces of glue waiting at the bypass. No date code filter. I was refunded the cost due to no date code defect. The substance around bypass is oil, and the whole filters reeks of chemicals.

Dang, right when I start saying these were looking decent.
It’s probably a few years old from the bad days. Purolator told me 2022 as it has no valid code. It looks older sort of can tell when something has been around awhile. Amazon gave me my money back. I have the One from 2024, but any of this observing is only one sample at a time.

Must have been this filter you posted about back in January. Looks like there's some rust around the bypass valve on the end cap. That sloppy glue that flakes off is scary ... seems to be a theme with current Purolators and Motorcrafts (made by Purolator).
