Since someone opened one of these recently, i decided to see if the one i bought was terrible. Cant say this one is too bad, filter media area came out to 102 square inches and 52 pleats and a little less that a 1/2” deep. Louvers were opened nicely also

Couldn’t tear it. Took a lot to even cut the media with a knife

That’s good - the media does look thicker now - and perhaps a synthetic blend like the Champ era M1’s …

Looks to be nearly the same construction as the three WIX filters I just cut open. I’ve seen many many many M+H filters here look like absolute crud. These look, at the very least, usable, as did my recent C&Ps. If M+H would take pride in their quality again, I don’t think anyone would be able to stop them.
