FWIW:
#SL24457, crosses to Purolator #L24457.
Made by Purolator (says so on the box) and sold at a local Sears bargain bin for a buck each.
I bought six.
They fit my '97 Nissan truck 2.4L engine.
Cut one open and it's an honest filter inside. Metal end-caps and 52 nicely spaced pleats with about 156 square inches of media.
This engine has a built-in bypass valve so the filters do not have one. Black ADBV.

I have a 89 Nissan truck with the 2.4L engine. Maybe the engine has changed, but mine does not have an internal bybass, the filter has one. I use the Motorcraft (made by purolator) FL300 (has 293 sq. in.) The newer filter xref-books show a smaller filter listed for the engine (about half the size), but this one is the size it referenced up until a few years ago. I think Nissan has started using fewer filter sizes across the line of engines. The AC pf20 also fits, but it has 243 sq. in., and the adbv does not work as well as the motorcraft.
