Purolator Air Filter

I've had a Fram Tough Guard AF in my Jeep for the last 1500 miles or so. I haven't noticed any mpg difference from the Purolator filter that was in it when I bought the thing (left it in there for the first 10k miles I owned it).

I don't think that every Purolator application is faulty. I used Purolator, FRAM, STP, store brand air filters at one time in a most of my vehicles and the mpg was at/better than the EPA estimate with all.

I am finding a MPG drop with "this" Purolator A/F for my '04 Altima 2.5. Looks well made but has fewer pleats and a slightly smaller measureable inside dimentions. I have 3 filters for this car as I have stated earlier in this post and only the Puro seems to be causing the drop. The 3 A/F's are:

OEM (This "is" the filter that the car came with)
Puro(Pruchaced when the car was new in '04 as a 2nd filter)
FRAM AH(Bought for $7.00 on closeout. Wasn't even looking for it)
