Purge valve wires severed

Hi
I have a 2011 Camry V6 in a hot climate and while looking for an AC Freon leak my mechanic asked if I had a check engine light on. No
He found 2 wires severed going into the purge valve near the air filter box.
I have no lights on on the dash nor do I have any driving problems.
Should I buy the harness and reconnect?

Also we never saw the Freon leak after adding die. It’s very very slow. Takes about 2 months to have no ac after filling. This is the second time it’s gone bad.

Yes. You'll get a CEL once the EVAP monitor runs again.

Also we never saw the Freon leak after adding die. It’s very very slow. Takes about 2 months to have no ac after filling. This is the second time it’s gone bad.
